'Jack' died when a bomb hit the pub, The Prince of Wales 294 Clapham Rd Stockwell in which he was drinking on 13th November 1940. It is believed that this could have been on his birthday as his mother was very supersticious and may have changed his birthdate from trhe 13th to the 14th Oct. He is buried in Lambeth cemetery, Blackshaw Road, Tooting, but his grave is as yet unmarked.
I know I am still with you
in your prayers, your thoughts, your heart
And though you cannot see me,
I will always be a part
of life's sweet celebrations
in those times when you reflect
on how, though things are different,
through our love, we still connect.
We'll see each other someday
when our spirits all are free,
until then, I am with you
because you remember me.
